Being a wedding photographer is quite an interesting as well as lucrative profession. As the name indicated these are photographers who take photographs during weddings. It is generally advisable for a wedding photographer to have a studio. There are a few cases when some photographers operate from their own home, from where they manage their photo and video business. In other cases, some photographers have separate and sophisticated studios from where they run dedicated wedding shoot business.


Wedding photography comes in a host of packages that can be availed by clients. These could vary based on the content as well as the specifics of the deal that is struck. There is generally a practice where 'proofs' are provided to the client by the photographer. These are generally edited images which the photographer gives the client. Gone are the days of reels being used, as most of the photographs nowadays are contained in CDs. A single CD could contain all the pictures that have been captured in a wedding. Sometimes online purchase of photographs is also possible where the photographer maintains the copyright to the photos, but allows limited reproduction rights to the client. If the client wants the copyright of the photos to be transferred by the photographer to him or her, he/she has to pay a huge price for the same.
